Guests are welcome to enjoy our beautiful gardens, sit on their private deck or by the lake, watching the birds, and perhaps play with Sid and Joe, our two border terriers. It's also perfect for reading, photography or painting - why not read about our reading room. We also have owls and, with a few days notice, it is usually possible to fly the eagle owl during your stay, which is a truly unique experience.
Upper Barn Cottage is situated on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park in the beautiful Dyfi Forest and is the ideal location for exploring the mountains, coast and lakes of Mid Wales.
Footpaths and tracks are immediately accessible from the gardens and provide excellent walking access to the surrounding countryside.
There are also lots of events and festivals on our doorstep, such as the Machnylleth Comedy Festival.
